GUILFORD, Conn., March 31, 2016 -- Sightlines, a Gordian company and a leader in facilities intelligence and analysis for higher education institutions, today announced the schedule for a unique series of regional workshops to explore best practices in college campus facilities management.
The series was created as a result of the tremendous response to the company’s first-ever member conference last fall, Sightlines’ “Insights Summit ’15: Building Bridges Between Finance & Facilities,” an educational and networking event that strengthened the lines of communication between key decision makers in the finance and facilities departments at North American colleges and universities.
“The enthusiastic participation we saw at our Insights Summit exceeded our expectations and some of the feedback we received afterwards was for us to create smaller-scale events on a regional basis so that higher ed professionals could attend with less travel and time commitment,” said Mark Schiff, president of Sightlines.
The regional workshops will be more intimate gatherings that are smaller in size and shorter in duration than the national Sightlines member conference, which the company plans to host again in 2017. For more information about how to become a Sightlines member, please email [email protected].
The agenda for the regional workshops will be robust, enabling attendees to gather valuable industry knowledge and make important professional connections. The schedule consists of five events:
Maryland
September 12-13, 2016
Loews Annapolis Hotel
Annapolis, MD
California
September 22 - 23, 2016
Kona Kai Resort & Spa
San Diego, CA
Illinois
September 29 - 30, 2016
Hyatt Regency Chicago

New York
November 3 - 4, 2016

The workshops will feature the debut of “State of Facilities in Higher Education for 2016” – Sightlines’ widely anticipated annual report that highlights key trends and best practices in campus facilities management. Each regional workshop will include a general session to detail the findings of the new report and other sessions to create interactive opportunities that facilitate the sharing of best practices.
“In addition to the educational content, there will be opportunities for social interactions so that attendees can make connections with facilities and finance professionals from other institutions,” said Schiff.
