Solana (SOL) traded near $104 on Oct. 20, about 15% below its early-October level, while the network ranked first in the weekly revenue comparison for Oct. 12-18.
SOL began October near $122 and remained below its late-September peak of roughly $125. The token was still almost 70% above its June level. Its drop from the start of October took less than three weeks.
Solana recorded about $6.54 million in network revenue for Oct. 12-18, against $3.23 million for BNB Chain. Ethereum generated $2.87 million, while the Bitcoin (BTC) network recorded $1.5 million. Solana generated just over double the revenue of second-ranked BNB Chain.
It was Solana's fifth week in a row at the top of the comparison. The longer trend was different: network revenue had declined over the past month. The weekly ranking compares networks for one period; it does not show that Solana's monthly revenue decline had ended.
About 1.4 million addresses held one or more tokenized equity products, up from fewer than 500,000 in early September. The count records addresses with a qualifying holding, not the number of investors, since one person can control several addresses. It also does not show the value of the holdings or the revenue associated with this activity.
The address tally grew while Solana's network revenue was falling. Neither measure identifies what drove SOL's price decline, and the figures do not establish a link between tokenized equity activity and revenue.
In a separate Oct. 17 SOL open-interest snapshot, EconoTimes reported $895 million in open interest, down 6.59% over 24 hours.
