Solana’s on-chain real-world asset (RWA) value climbed to $4.3 billion over the past year, while J.P. Morgan started a separate $100 million investment on the network.
Solana’s total was about $700 million at the start of the comparison. That increase was the subject of EconoTimes’ earlier coverage of Solana’s on-chain RWA growth. Ethereum’s corresponding value moved from $15.5 billion to $16.6 billion in the same period. Solana’s total rose from 4.5% to about 26% of Ethereum’s.
The reported $100 million investment is separate from Solana’s networkwide RWA total. That investment adds Solana to J.P. Morgan’s blockchain activity alongside Ethereum, where the bank has made its dollar-deposit token available to institutional clients.
J.P. Morgan made JPM Coin (JPMD), a token representing U.S. dollar deposits at the bank, available to institutional clients on Ethereum on Oct. 19. Institutional users can send JPMD among themselves through wallets compatible with Ethereum.
