Free games are always great and this May, Xbox One and 360 owners can look forward to a few titles that they can get for absolutely no charge. Now, to be clear, not all of them are going to be gems so it’s wise to temper expectations. Looking at the list, however, some gamers are going to be pleased with what they are set to get.
The two Microsoft consoles will be getting separate video games for free and will only be limited to two for each. For the Xbox One, there is the Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams—Director’s Cut, which will be available from May 1st to until the 31st. It’s basically a platformer featuring a main character with world-altering capabilities, Forbes reports. This version comes with more content than the original.
There’s also Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, which will be available on May 15th until June 15th. It still features the busty British adventurer, but this time, she will be controlled via top-down fashion. This game is best enjoyed with friends.
For the Xbox 360, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, which gamers can get from May 1st to the 15th, and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, which will be available from May 16th to the 31st. Getting both games is certainly doable, but of the options, the latter can offer the most enjoyment.
Picking up all four free games can save gamers up to $75, based on their normal prices, BGR reports. More than that, since the 360 games will work on the Xbox One, players can get them even without owning a unit of the older console generation. Unfortunately, the opposite is simply not possible, so those who only own the Xbox 360 cannot get the titles meant for the Xbox One.
