Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo’s love story has come to a heartbreaking conclusion after recent news broke out that the two have filed for a divorce. The reason behind the separation is the two stars’ differences in personality, which they couldn’t overcome.
In a statement released by the camp of Song Hye Kyo through her agency United Artists Agency (UAA), the actress said that the decision was painful for both parties. Song Joong Ki was the one who filed for the divorce saying that he’d rather do it now than reach a situation where both camps will start blaming each other, CNN reported.
The UAA also urged the public to refrain from spreading unsubstantiated narratives involving Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, warning that they would take legal action to anyone who will be caught doing so. The agency also asked the fans of the former couple to be understanding and to continue to support them through these trying times.
Despite the warning, however, there are already rumors making its round on the web that Korean actor Park Bo Gum is the cause of the divorce. Park’s agency, Bloom Entertainment, also released a statement denouncing these false narratives and maintains that the actor has nothing to do with the separation of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, ABS-CBN reported.
Park has been linked with the high-profile divorce due to him starring with Song Hye Kyo in the series “Encounter.” But again, the official statement says that Kyo and Song Joong Ki are splitting up due to a clash of personalities. It can be recalled that both stars have been plagued with various rumors earlier this year after the actress deleted some of her photos on her Instagram page.
Following that, Song Hye Kyo was seen not wearing her wedding ring at an airport, further fanning the flame that something’s wrong with Kyo and Song Joong Ki’s relationship. While those rumors have since died down, it would appear that there was some nugget of truth into it as manifested by the circumstances that are currently unfolding. Hopefully, both parties will heal soon as going through a divorce can be quite damaging for anyone caught in its messy narrative.
