The annual sale event that is offered by Sony is on its way and it would seem that this year’s occasion comes with a rare treat. On top of the cheaper games that will become available to owners of the company’s consoles, there will also be a limited edition PlayStation 4 unit with a unique blue color and a striking decal.
Called the Days of Play, the event celebrates Sony’s legions of fans who have chosen to purchase one of its gaming consoles. The event is set to start on June 8 and will conclude on June 18, The Verge reports. During that period, there will be plenty of great deals and discounts to go around, from hardware markdowns to sales on titles.
One of the most appealing offers is the $50 discount on the PS4 Pro, which would bring the unit’s price down to $349. Next would be the PS VR bundle offers that are on the table, which start at $199.99.
However, the offer that fans of the company will most likely be looking forward to most is the navy blue PS4 unit that comes with a gold decal of the square, triangle, circle, and cross symbols that are synonymous with the PlayStation lineup.
As for the software side, getting a membership for PlayStation Plus will now cost only $49.99 for the entire year, Polygon reports. That’s a discount of $9.99.
Naturally, games will also come with some steep markdowns, with major titles getting up to $40 in price cuts. Among the highlights will be the most recent "God of War," which will only cost $49.99, and "Horizon: Zero Dawn," which will only cost $19.99. That’s right, players can hunt down Norse gods or giant robot dinosaurs at significantly lower prices if they simply wait a week to purchase these games.
