South Africa’s business sentiment continued to be unchanged in October. The latest Business Confidence Index of the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry shows a neutral confidence in the market place.
Meanwhile, the Sacci stated that the country’s weak economic situation continued to restrict business opportunities. The Sacci BCI stayed relatively unchanged at 92.9 in October 2017 after recovering to 93 in September.
The average for the first ten months of this year for the BCI came to 94.1 as compared to 93.4 for the corresponding period of last year. The Sacci stated that the 2017 BCI average means a decline of 7.1 index points on the 2015 BCI average.
