DENVER, May 02, 2017 -- SpotX CRO Sean Buckley was named the winner of a Gold Stevie® Award for Management in The 15th Annual American Business Awards today, selected from over 3,600 nominees across an array of categories.
The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. The annual Maverick of the Year award is presented to the innovative executive who’s driven the most positive change within their company and industry over the last year.
Buckley has been with SpotX since 2013 and was appointed as the company’s first Chief Revenue Officer and fourth C-level executive in January of this year, at the age of 29.

Scripps, Newsy and MLB Advanced Media. Overall, he was instrumental in driving total business through the SpotX video ad serving platform well into nine figures, representing a 33% YoY increase.
More than 190 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners. “[Buckley is] clearly an assertive, agile and enterprising executive,” remarked one judge upon review of his accomplishments. “[It is] inspiring to see such leadership at this early age.”
Nicknamed “the Stevies" for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Tuesday, June 20. Tickets are now on sale.
