Stellantis announced that it will integrate Tesla’s North American Charging System (NACS) into select battery-electric vehicles beginning in 2026, a move expected to significantly enhance charging access for its customers across key global markets. The decision positions Stellantis among the growing list of automakers adopting NACS to give drivers more convenient access to fast-charging infrastructure.
According to the company, upcoming Stellantis EVs equipped with NACS will be able to use more than 28,000 Tesla Superchargers across North America, Japan, and South Korea. This expanded compatibility marks a major step toward improving long-distance travel and reducing charging wait times for Stellantis drivers, aligning with the company’s broader electrification goals.
The initial rollout in North America will start in early 2026. It will include integration for existing battery-electric models such as the Jeep Wagoneer S and the Dodge Charger Daytona. Shortly after, newly launched EVs—including the 2026 Jeep Recon—will also come standard with the Tesla charging connector. Stellantis emphasized that this transition is designed to provide a smoother and more accessible charging experience for its growing EV customer base.
Following the North American launch, Stellantis plans to extend NACS access to Japan and South Korea in 2027, broadening the reach of Tesla’s charging ecosystem to more international Stellantis customers. The company also noted that details about adapter availability and compatibility for current EV owners will be announced later, which is expected to benefit drivers who want to access Tesla’s Supercharger network without waiting for newer models.
This strategic adoption of NACS underlines Stellantis’ commitment to expanding fast-charging options, increasing EV convenience, and supporting the accelerating global shift toward electrified mobility. The move is expected to improve overall charging accessibility, strengthen Stellantis’ competitive position in the EV market, and offer customers a more seamless charging experience across multiple regions.
