Anadolu Agency reported nationwide student demonstrations in Germany over welfare cuts and compulsory military service, amid an organizing campaign that has also pressed the government on school investment and generational fairness.

EconoTimes previously reported that sign-ups had exceeded 154,000 ahead of rallies organizers planned for Oct. 31. Its earlier coverage of the campaign’s registration total and demands also said Gen Z Regelt’s open letter to Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s government called for more investment in schools and a more even distribution of savings among generations.
