Anadolu Agency reported Thursday that Sudanese military sources said army and allied forces had retaken two sites in North Kordofan along a corridor toward South Kordofan.

El-Obeid is about 45 kilometers north of Kazgeil and Abu Qaoud, according to Anadolu. The agency placed the sites along a supply corridor leading toward South Kordofan and described the route as strategically important.

In comments carried by Al Jazeera, the Joint Force spokesman said many Rapid Support Forces (RSF) fighters had been killed or captured, but gave no count. He added that forces had secured the two sites and nearby areas. The spokesman also said troops destroyed about 25 RSF vehicles in Kazgeil.

Anadolu said the army has reported regaining 11 areas in North Kordofan in recent weeks. The agency reported that fighting involving the army and RSF has affected North, West and South Kordofan since October 2025.
