Roaming Man Tennessee Straight Rye Whiskey won a gold medal in the ‘American Straight Rye Whiskey’ category. Roaming Man was bottled at a cask strength of 123.4 proof. With a classic rye spiciness of black pepper, hints of tobacco and oak, this approachable rye whiskey will not disappoint. Roaming Man Whiskey is well balanced with the sweetness of vanilla and caramel along with hints of apple and pineapple.
Ned Vickers, Sugarlands Distilling Co. CEO responded, “We are extremely proud of our Roaming Man Rye Whiskey! We think it's delicious and very complex for a two-year aged product. From the beginning, we wanted to create a small batch, pot distilled, premium spirit that shows how amazing a true artisan craft spirit can be, and it's extremely gratifying to receive a gold medal from the Los Angeles International Spirits Competition!”
Dark Chocolate Coffee Appalachian Sippin’ Cream won three accolades: ‘Best of Liqueurs,’ a gold medal in ‘Liqueurs,’ and scored 94 points in ‘Best of Category.' Dark Chocolate Coffee Cream Liqueur grabs your attention with the scent of brown sugar, coffee bean, and toffee. The taste of creamy milk chocolate, medium roast coffee and rough cut dark chocolate awaken you to a misty morning, just as the sun is breaking.
Mark & Digger’s Hazelnut Rum received a Bronze Medal in the ‘Rum’ category. Sugarlands Distilling Co. partnered with legendary moonshiners Mark Ramsey and Digger Manes from the Discovery Channel’s hit show, Moonshiners. Their Hazelnut Rum meets the nose with sweet aromas of toasted hazelnut and brown sugar. It is a smooth, full-bodied spirit that blends the tastes of vanilla, cinnamon and honey. At 80 proof, this brown spirit finishes with a sweet, oaky kick sure to satisfy the rum-lover in you.
