‘Supergirl’ Season 2, Episode 13 Spoilers: “Mr. & Mrs. Mxyzptlk" – Mon-El Fights Villainous Imp to Defend Kara’s Love; Alex, Maggie Enjoy Valentine’s Day

‘Supergirl’ season 2’s episode 13, titled “Mr. & Mrs. Mxyzptlk," will follow a magical imp that will bring chaos in National City after his love is turned down by Kara. Meanwhile, Alex and Maggie are set to enjoy each other’s company in their very first Valentine’s Day date.

The synopsis for “Mr. & Mrs. Mxyzptlk” posted on TV Guide reads, “A magical imp named Mr. Mxyzptlk (guest star Peter Gadiot) shows up on Earth and declares his love for Kara (Melissa Benoist), who tries to let him down easy. However, he won't take no for an answer and starts to wreak havoc on National City.

As Mon-El (Chris Wood) and Kara argue over how to get rid of Mr. Mxyzptlk, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (Floriana Lima) celebrate their first Valentine's Day together.”

One of Superman’s most infamous villains will appear in the upcoming episode. The reality-manipulating imp named Mr. Mxyzptlk will crash Valentine’s Day in National City in hopes of having his feelings reciprocated by none other than Kara Danvers a.k.a. Supergirl. Despite Kara’s attempts at turning his love away while trying not to hurt his feelings, Mr. Mxyzptlk retaliates by wreaking chaos and putting the city’s residents at risk.

During a recent interview with TVLine, Wood revealed that his character Mon-El dislikes having Mr. Mxyzptlk around. He hinted, “Mon-El hates this guy…  He hates that he’s ruined this moment where they’re finally going to connect, and he hates even more that this guy wants Kara to marry him and is trying to manipulate the situation into making her almost feel like he has no choice.”

Wood continued, “When he ends up fighting Mr. Mxyzptlk, he definitely has all of [those feelings for Kara] fueling his blows… Every punch is filled with ‘Don’t touch her! She’s mine!'”

Meanwhile, things seem to be going well for Alex and Maggie as seen in promotional sneak peak photographs posted on Spoilers Guide. Kara’s adoptive doctor-scientist sister and her detective date look blissfully in love as they share an embrace while on their very first Valentine’s day date together. Alex is dressed in a dapper black suit while Maggie dons a long lacey red dress.

‘Supergirl’ season 2’s episode 13, titled “Mr. & Mrs. Mxyzptlk," is scheduled to be released on The CW on February 20, 2017. It was directed by Stefan Pleszczynski and written for the small screen by Jessica Queller and Sterling Gates. It will be followed by episode 14, titled "Homecoming," scheduled to air on February 27.
