The anime series recently revealed a saddening incident while Ishigami was in middle school involving Otomo and her ex-boyfriend Ogino. In the manga’s timeline, that is already a very old story and Ishigami seemed to have moved on from it already. However, Tsubame arbitrarily decides to revisit in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” chapter 201 as a gift for Ishigami.

When Tsubame said in chapter 200 that she had something prepared for Ishigami before she graduates, many thought it was related to his previous love confession.
