Suri Cruise and Tom Cruise have reportedly been reunited after being apart for six years. As New Idea would have it, the young teen supposedly put her foot down and told Katie Holmes that she wants to see her father.
“Suri [Cruise] has made a decision that she wants to spend more time with her dad. Now she’s 12, she’s decided she wants to have more of a relationship with him and has really been pushing her mum to let her see him,” a family source apparently told the gossip outlet.
Of course, since other reputable publications have not covered this story, it’s best to take this one with massive skepticism. It’s a long established fact by now that Tom Cruise isn’t keen on returning to his daughter’s life. The last time that the father-duo were seen together was back in 2013.
Ever since the “Mission Impossible” star has turned his back from Suri Cruise despite a custody agreement allowing him to see her for 10 days each month. It’s still unclear why the A-list actor chose to do this but it’s been widely assumed that the Church of Scientology may have something to do with it. After all, the organization is also being touted as the reason why Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes split all those years ago.
Returning to New Idea’s claim, it’s likely that this is another fabricated story, especially since there aren’t any indications in recent months that Tom Cruise wants to return to his daughter’s life. What’s more, the tabloid didn’t provide any concrete evidence to support its claim apart from an image of the 12-year-old pulling flesh-colored luggage. Most of the noise that has surfaced involving the actor and Suri Cruise have been fake news.
The reason why it’s so difficult to glean information from the life of the young teen is that Katie Holmes has done a good job of keeping the gossip media at bay. It’s even rare for the actress to post photos of Suri Cruise on her own Instagram account. To put shortly, nobody really knows what’s going about the personal life of the mother-daughter duo despite what gossip outlets would have their readers believe.
