Swiss Bitcoin Association announced that big four accounting firm Ernst & Young has joined as a corporate member to its fast growing community.
EY joins the array of privileged members of Bitcoin Association including law firm AMATIN, bitcoin exchange Bity, Minebox, Bitc, among others.
EY announced in November 2016 that their customers can pay invoices from EY Switzerland in bitcoin. This announcement, which was a part of Ernst & Young Switzerland's digital self-transformation, said that the employees of EY will receive a digital wallet as well as a bitcoin ATM will be established prominently in the main building.
“It is important to us that everybody gets on board and prepares themselves for the revolution set to take place in the business world through blockchains, smart contracts and digital currencies,” Marcel Stalder, CEO of EY Switzerland, said.
EY’s addition to Swiss Bitcoin Association will enable the advisory firm to support local bitcoin community and the addition marks EY as the first of the Big 4 to get into bitcoin.
