More episodes of “Sword Art Online: Alicization” will be released in the coming months. After uncovering the truth about Integrity Knights and how the Administrator had controlled them, Alice and Kirito’s mission is far from over. Their story continues once the series returns for “Sword Art Online: Alicization — War of Underworld” in October.
One of the most likely ways the series would return is by picking up from the aftermath of Eugeo’s death and the battle with the Administrator. Since there will be several months of hiatus, “Sword Art Online: Alicization — War of Underworld” possibly begins with a mini recap. The anime series can do that by using the light novel-based sequence where Alice brings Bercouli up to speed. Alice wakes up Bercouli to narrate everything they learned from the Administrator. Since Bercouli will still be recognized as an Integrity Knight commander, he will convince the others to prepare to fight the Dark Territory.
For the most part of “Sword Art Online: Alicization — War of Underworld’s” first episodes, fans will likely see Alice’s struggles as she does everything she can to keep Kirito and herself safe. It can be recalled that he lost an arm and suffered severe fluctlight damage.
Alice knows that Kirito does not have the best rapport with the other Integrity Knights so she has to find a safe place for him. “Sword Art Online: Alicization — War of Underworld” will possibly show Alice’s attempt to return to Rulid Village, though this trip will end up to be futile. Fans should also expect that it will not be easy to heal Kirito even for Alice.
Meanwhile, after defeating the Administrator, fans saw Kirito making contact to the real world. He learned that Ocean Turtle was under attack by an army of heavily armed men. Before the attackers cut off the power, Kuoka managed to tell Kirito that he must bring Alice to the World End Altar. “Sword Art Online: Alicization — War of Underworld” will premiere sometime in October. The number of episodes it will have is still unknown but it is expected to cover light novel volumes 15 to 18. So it is possible it could also have up to 24 episodes.
