One of the most anticipated anime series to premiere later this year is “Sword Art Online: Alicization” part 2. Luckily, its release date window has already been confirmed and fans now just have to wait a few more months to see Alice and Kirito’s next adventures.
‘Sword Art Online: Alicization’ part 2 release date: New episodes arriving in fall
Teaser trailers of “Sword Art Online: Alicization” part 2 have been released in the previous months. The latest, which came out just a couple of weeks ago, also confirmed that the anime series is coming back in October.
The specific premiere date has not been announced yet, but it will most likely be revealed about a month before it happens. Part 1 was released within the first week of October 2018, and it will not be surprising if the producers would maintain that release date window for “Sword Art Online: Alicization” part 2.

“Sword Art Online: Alicization” is technically the third season of the anime series and was previously announced to be divided into four cours divided into two parts. The first installment ran from October 2018 through late March with a total of 24 episodes. So there is a big chance that “Sword Art Online: Alicization” part 2 will have the same episode count and will be on air through the spring of 2020.

The first half of the Alicization arc focused on Kirito and Eugeo’s quest to find their friend Alice. They successfully located her and unveiled a series of events centered on Administrator Quinella’s plan against humanity. While Eugeo already passed away, Kirito and Alice now have to finish their goal of defeating the Administrator in “Sword Art Online: Alicization” part 2.
The finale of the Alicization arc part 1 showed Kirito making contact with the outside world. Fans saw Kirito suffered from a massive fluctlight damage while the Ocean Turtle took heavy fire. As a result, Kirito’s injuries will pose a big challenge to Alice in “Sword Art Online: Alicization” part 2.
