“Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 6 is expected to feature several scenes, starting with Asuna infiltrating a secret military facility in the middle of the ocean. From there, the episode will likely showcase a time-jump courtesy of time dilation in the Soul Translator. Basically, while only a few days have passed in the real world, it would already be five months for Kirito and Eugeo.
As this “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 6 preview clip shows, it would appear that Asuna has managed to force the hand of the government operating the facility where Kirito is being held. Details about the project that is being worked on in the institute will likely be revealed. The same goes for the condition that Kirito is in.
It would seem that the attack on Kirito has left him severely brain-damaged and is being treated using the Soul Translator. The specifics of this particular detail will be explained in “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 6. However, one of the most interesting tidbits about it is how there is a major difference in how time works in the virtual world and the real world.
As OtakuKart notes, there is a major discrepancy in how fast time moves in the Soul Translator compared to real time by a factor of 1,000. That is to say, one real-world hour is 41 days in the virtual world. Therefore, when “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 6 finally returns the focus on Kirito, five months would have passed since he and Eugeo left the village.
This presents the interesting dilemma of whether or not the broken character of Kirito will make a return. In the first season of the franchise, he was basically considered a cheater due to his overwhelming fighting ability. Once “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 6 airs on Nov. 11, will he become a one-man army once again?
