Türkiye's tourism revenue rose 5% year over year to $25.526 billion in the third quarter of 2026, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) reported, as departing visitors declined.

The country recorded 23,255,007 departing visitors during the quarter, down 1.6% from a year earlier. Average spending per night was $107.

The figures show revenue growth alongside a lower count of departing visitors. They do not specify what drove either change.

The government's 2027-29 Medium-Term Program, published by the Presidency of Strategy and Budget (SBB), estimates tourism revenue of $65 billion for 2026. The program sets targets of $70 billion for 2027, $73.5 billion for 2028 and $78.5 billion for 2029. Its 2026 estimate is lower than the $68 billion figure in the previous program, according to EconoTimes' earlier coverage of the tourism targets.
