Türkiye's economic confidence measure fell below the 100-point mark in October, moving into territory the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) classifies as pessimistic, official data showed.

The index registered 97.3, down 3.9% from September's 101.3. The four-point drop carried it from 1.3 points above the 100-point threshold to 2.7 points below it.

TURKSTAT's methodology describes readings below 100 as pessimistic for the overall economy. The index combines confidence indicators for consumers, manufacturing, services, retail trade and construction, bringing household and business sentiment into one measure.
