Dallas, TX, April 10, 2018 -- The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition is proud to announce its collaboration with Sherry Pollex, ovarian cancer survivor, and Founder of SherryStrong.org, a subsidiary of the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation, to bring awareness to the disease as a speaker at its 2018 National Conference. The conference will take place at the New York Hilton Midtown, April 27-29.
Pollex, who was diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer in 2014, founded SherryStrong.org to educate women on the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, and to comfort and inspire women during their cancer journey, and life after treatment.
"I am thrilled to be speaking at the NOCC's 2018 National Conference in New York City," states Pollex. "When I found out this year's theme was Hope on the Horizon, I felt an instant sense of excitement to know that I can bring a message of hope to the survivors, caregivers, and medical professionals attending the conference. I'm not only looking forward to speaking at the conference but meeting some amazing survivors and sharing stories of hope."
"Sherry's continued strength, positive message, and belief in the power of hope during ovarian cancer is the perfect compliment to our well-rounded offering of educational presentations," states David Barley, CEO of the NOCC. "We know that her message of hope will be a powerful one and we are proud to have her join in this fight."
The NOCC expects more than 300 survivors, caregivers, medical professionals, and scientists from across the nation. To register or learn more, visit events.ovarian.org/conference. Follow the conference through social media - #HopeOnTheHorizon
