“Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken” Season 2 will not be coming out until 2020 as has been confirmed by the series’ official Twitter account. Naturally, details are being kept under wraps what the plot for the second installment will be.
However, it’s already been hinted by the previous entry where the plot of “Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken” Season 2 is headed. By introducing Milim, Ramiris, and the perks of becoming a True Demon Lord, it’s inevitable that Rimuru’s story will be treading this path, MonsterAndCritics reported.
His transformation begins when the Kingdom of Farmus attacks the Tempest country, with the siege claiming the lives of several innocent civilians, including Shion. Reading Rimuru’s burning desire to undo all the deaths, the Great Sage offers an uncertain solution to the titular slime: become a True Demon Lord himself. “Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken” Season 2 will then have the protagonist pay the price for such power.
The Great Sage revealed that in order to evolve into a True Demon Lord, Rimuru will need 10,000 souls. Fortunately, the invading forces proved to be enough for such payment and Rimuru goes all out to eliminate the threat. After successfully evolving, the slime will resurrect those who have died in “Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken” Season 2, as well provide them with new abilities.
The Great Sage herself will also evolve at some point during the story, allowing Rimuru to revive Veldora. Apart from the aforementioned payment, another complication will arise in “Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken” Season 2. While being a True Demon Lord certainly has its perks, it also forces Rimuru to associate himself with his peers.
And thus, the Walpurgis Banquet will take place. This gathering will be quite a tension-filled plot to follow as it will eventually lead to Rimuru killing another True Demon Lord, none other than the scheming Clayman himself. The unassuming slime achieved this through the help of Milim, who went undercover to pry out the plans of Clayman and his desire to destroy Tempest country. With the stakes ever higher, “Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken” Season 2 is looking like another solid entry for the series, filled with gripping fight scenes and heartwarming moments in between.
