Tesla reported $405 million in revenue from SpaceX Megapack purchases during the first half of 2026, while the companies also disclosed early project work on Macrohard and Terafab.
Tesla’s second-quarter 2026 Form 10-Q reported $318 million in revenue from SpaceX purchases for the three months ended June 30, and $405 million for the six-month period. The six-month figure includes the second quarter. The filing also disclosed a $2 billion purchase of SpaceX common stock in March, leaving Tesla with an ownership interest below 1%.
SpaceX’s June 2026 prospectus described early-stage collaborations with Tesla involving Macrohard and Terafab. The prospectus said the companies had not finalized the projects’ financial terms, intellectual-property rights or duration. The documents describe both commercial purchases that generated reported revenue and separate project work that remained at an early stage.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk discussed the companies’ growing overlap on Tesla’s July 22, 2026, earnings webcast. He said there was “more and more overlap, especially with Terafab,” and said any combination would require an “appropriate process.”
Tesla’s investor-relations calendar lists third-quarter results for Wednesday, Oct. 21, but does not give a release time.
