BOSTON, Nov. 23, 2017 -- Deal review experts at Tim Marr are comparing the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on DJI drones. The best value deals for shoppers this year are:
The DJI Black Friday Sale starts on Wednesday November 22 on the DJI Online Store. DJI are one of best established drone manufacturers with a series of consumer and professional level quadcopters that range in size and performance. The Phantom 3 and Phantom 4 series are bigger models suitable for professional filming. In 2016 DJI released the Mavic Pro, a portable drone that shoots in 4K and offers many of the intelligent flight controls first featured in the Phantom series. The DJI Spark is a new drone that's even smaller than the Mavic Pro and is ideal for indoor use, shooting in 1080P high definition.
Tim Marr tracks the price of a host of consumer electronics, popular gadgets and home products during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales week. With more deals available and a higher number of online shoppers this year, it’s expected that Black Friday 2017 will see sales and e-commerce records from last year broken. Research from the National Retail Federation estimates that close to $700 billion was spent during the holiday shopping season in 2016. This number has been growing at a rate of around 5% per year since 2010.
The Black Friday sales week has transitioned over the years from an in-store sales day to a week long event with purchases just as likely to be made online as in physical stores. In 2016 an estimated 52% of shoppers went online to shop for Black Friday weekend, according to data from the NRF Survey.
Black Friday week starts on November 20th with online sales from the biggest retailers starting at 12AM. Deals culminate on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which fall on November 24th and November 27th.
