In a promo clip for “The Big Bang Theory” Season 12 Episode 9, a scene is shown wherein Sheldon appears to receive news that makes him lose his mind. The scene is set in the apartment that he shares with his wife, Amy (Mayim Bialik), while Leonard (Johnny Galecki) is standing by the door.
Based on how everyone is set up, it’s clear that Leonard just gave Sheldon the bad news that terribly upsets him while working on something important. Considering his subsequent reaction to hearing the details, some are already speculating that his work might have been made obsolete. Granted, it could also be something else that is equally as bad for Sheldon. As CarterMatt notes, it would have to have been really unfortunate for the physicist to break his whiteboard as he does in this episode. His character is not exactly known for expressing his emotions through violent actions. In this sense, “The Big Bang Theory” Season 12 Episode 9 might just be the most graphic episode of the series.
