Liz Keen (Megan Boone) will need some help from her sister, Jennifer Reddington (Fiona Dourif), in “The Blacklist” season 6. They will be working together to put the puzzle pieces together about the real backstory of the fake Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader).
The finale of season 5 redefined how cliffhangers are done. The final scenes of the said installment did the job of providing answers but also asked more, deeper questions that require the release of “The Blacklist” season 6.
One of the events to be expected in “The Blacklist” season 6 is how Liz and Jennifer will be literally completing puzzles of their memories. The fake Red had been pretending to be their father for the past 30 years. So to come up with answers, Liz and Jennifer will have to recall their childhood memories and see what will match.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly last May, showrunner Jon Bokenkamp teased some possibilities for “The Blacklist” season 6. One of them is the prospect of Liz and Jennifer working together.
“Liz should probably compare stories with her sister Jennifer, who has information,” Bokenkamp said. “The dynamic of the two of them walking off the episode, when I saw it again in playback, I thought it was super-fun.”
Meanwhile, fans of the show may recall that Liz and Jennifer do not really trust each other. Obviously, that is another struggle that Liz will have to overcome in “The Blacklist” season 6 if she is determined to bring down the fake Red.
When asked whether or not Liz and Jennifer will learn to believe each other in “The Blacklist” season 6, the series creator said, “I have no idea. Probably not. But that’s a great question.”
“The Blacklist” season 6 will pick up from explosive cliffhangers in the latest episode. It was revealed that Liz had been working with Sutton Ross (Julian Sands). The prior kidnapping and torture of Liz were all staged to trick fake Red to “save” Liz and reveal details about the mysterious duffle bag.

However, the more shocking plot twist was the fact that Liz and Jennifer had known all this time that the bones in the duffle bag belonged to their father, the real Red. For decades, they knew the man posing as Red was fake and their real father had been killed.
On the other hand, the fake Red has no idea about all the information Liz has. Liz’s mission to tear down the walls of the fake Red and making him suffer is likely the focal point of “The Blacklist” season 6.
Reports have it that the filming of “The Blacklist” season 6 will commence this week. However, NBC has not yet provided an exact air date for the show’s return in 2019.
