“The Blacklist” season 6 episode 1 is already here and this is the time that fans have been waiting for. The return of the series is even more exciting despite the long wait since the team behind the show is offering a 2-day back-to-back premiere special. This means that avid followers of the crime-thriller drama can enjoy two episodes spread out to two consecutive days.
“The Blacklist” season 6 episode 1 has been aptly titled “Dr. Hans Koehler” as Reddington informed the task force about a plastic surgeon who helps wanted criminals escape from the crimes by changing their looks. As the title suggests, the doctor that they are looking for could be Dr. Koehler.
In any case, the official synopsis for “The Blacklist” season 6 episode 1 reads: “Liz and her sister, Jennifer, secretly investigate the night the real Raymond Reddington died, while Red puts the task force on the case of a doctor who changes criminals' identities through plastic surgery.”
“The Blacklist” season 6 episode 1 will serve as the part 1 of the show’s premiere and as mentioned, the focus would be on Elizabeth “Liz” Keen (Megan Boone) and her sister Jennifer (Fiona Dourif) as well. This episode will also mark Jennifer’s comeback as the viewers only saw her in season 5.
The sisters, although not close, will work together in their quest to uncover the truth who the present Raymond Reddington really is and more importantly, how did their father (original Red) die. Reddington is being suspected as an impostor but there could be some twists like he could be the real Red’s twin brother? If this is the case, why would the impostor Red assume real Red’s identity? What is his purpose?
Now that Liz is suspicious of Raymond Reddington, the “The Blacklist” season 6 tagline is just fitting for the season. Throughout the series, “Liz and Red engage in an uneasy cat-and-mouse game in which lines will be crossed and the truth will be revealed.”
“The Blacklist” season 6 episode 1 will debut on Jan. 3, 2019 at 10 p.m. on NBC Network. Part two titled "The Corsican" will air the next day, Jan. 4 at its regular time schedule which is 9 p.m.
