‘The Catch’ season 2’s episode 8, titled “The Knock-Off," will follow Ben as he confronts Alice about their relationship. Meanwhile, Alice’s ex-boyfriend introduces her to the new woman in his life, which makes Alice jealous and competitive.
The synopsis for “The Knock-Off” posted on TV Guide reads, “Alice's (Mireille Enos) attention to her recent case forces Ben (Peter Krause) to confront her about their relationship. Meanwhile, Ben and Rhys (John Simm) help Justine (Gina Torres) solve the biggest case of her life.”
The upcoming episode is set to follow Ben and Alice as they are forced to reevaluate their relationship when Ben confronts her about it. According to International Business Times, it seems that Ben will begin wondering about his place in Alice’s life when he feels that she has focused more of her attention on her recent case. Ben will confront Alice whether or not she still wants to be with him.
The promo opens to Alice getting introduced to her ex-boyfriend’s new fiancée. When the other woman is revealed, she has a strong resemblance to Alice with her striking red hair and pale skin. Even the woman’s hairstyle is exactly like hers.
This prompts Alice to say, “I feel like I know you already.” In the next scene, Ben teases Alice over the phone saying, “Oh my god. You hate her.” The two women are then seen trying to have some quality time with one another.
In the next scene, Ben tells Alice, “You put that woman in front of you for a reason.” Alice replies, “So that I could see how much better she is than me.” It seems that Alice thinks the woman is only using her ex-boyfriend for his wealth.
By the end of the episode, the new fiancée bursts into Alice’s office to confront her about something. She tells Alice in rage, “Who the hell do you think that you are?!” By the end of the promo, Alice looks like she finally realized something shocking and tells Valerie (Rose Rollins), “I think that b*tch just played me!”
‘The Catch’ season 2’s episode 8, titled “The Knock-Off," is scheduled to be released on ABC on April 27, 2017. It was directed by Morgan Pollitt and written by Alexander Newman-Wise. It will be followed by episode 9, titled "The Cleaner," scheduled to be released on May 4 and directed by Rob Greenlea.
