“The Curse of Oak Island” Season 6 Episode 7 will be focusing on the excavation of the Smith’s Cove. Rick, Marty, and the rest of their team are busy with the construction of the 525-foot dam that would seal off the ocean and allow them to dig the area of interest.
The treasure hunters are hoping that they’ll score a big find within the confines of the cove. Right now, the team is burning away financial resources to acquire the artifacts that are believed to have been buried somewhere within the island. Although some audiences might assume that Rick and Marty are the ones funding the venture, it’s actually the Nova Scotia Film and Television Production Incentive Fund (NSFPIF) that is behind the undertaking. “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 6 Episode 7 will be spending the $3 million worth of funding that the production has provided for the crew.
So what does the NSFPIF get out of this deal? It’s rather simple. The crew’s efforts are costing them manpower and resources, both of which are coming from the surrounding businesses that provide such services and materials. So even though the production company is the ones funding the endeavor, the money will still return into their economy. There’s also the fact that Rick and Marty’s efforts are attracting a lot of tourists in the region. This is especially true if they find something in “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 6 Episode 7.
Another incentive for Nova Scotia is drawing other productions to set up in the area, which will result in more money being injected into the province. With all these on the table, it’s not surprising that the NSFPIF is willing to find such venture with gusto. As for when “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 6 Episode 7 will air, it’s been slated for release on Jan. 1, 2019.
