On Oct. 29, Tata Capital’s listed price implied a 3.89% gap above its session VWAP, the widest of four shares in a StockEdge scan reported by The Economic Times.

The outlet listed Tata Capital at ₹326.35 per share and a VWAP of ₹314.12. Lodha Developers was listed at ₹1,045.80 against ₹1,017.53; Pidilite Industries at ₹1,422 against ₹1,386.25; and DLF at ₹694.35 against ₹677.56. Calculations from those pairs yield gaps of 3.89%, 2.78%, 2.58% and 2.48%, respectively. The report said the scan included stocks more than 1.5% above VWAP; the four gap percentages are calculations, not percentages published with the scan.

This is a same-session comparison between each listed price and that session’s trading average, not a measure of change from the previous close. VWAP divides the session’s traded value by its volume, giving prices with heavier trading more influence. StockEdge says it refreshes curated scans after the market session ends.

Separate historical price listings showed Oct. 29 closing prices that matched the figures for Tata Capital on Yahoo Finance, Lodha Developers on the Financial Times, Pidilite Industries on StockAnalysis and DLF on Investing.com. The Economic Times slideshow labels its figures “LTP,” or last traded price, while its introduction describes them as closing prices.

Two other average-price listings differed from the VWAP figures relayed by The Economic Times by ₹0.01. Upstox listed Lodha Developers’ average price at ₹1,017.52, compared with ₹1,017.53 in the report. Choice listed DLF’s average traded price at ₹677.55, compared with ₹677.56.

Nifty Indices says the Nifty 500 draws 500 eligible companies based on full market capitalization and average daily turnover. The index provider said the benchmark represented about 89.87% of the free-float market capitalization of NSE-listed stocks as of Sept. 30, 2026.

EconoTimes previously covered an Oct. 21 Nifty 500 screen led by Sobha, where Sobha had the widest reported gap among four stocks.
