“The Flash” Season 5 Episode 6 is still one episode away, but it is already generating a lot of fuss among the most dedicated of fans of the show. Thanks to CW releasing the official synopsis of the upcoming episode, it was revealed that it will involve learning something new about Caitlyn’s (Danielle Panabaker) father. Will this finally help bring Killer Frost back?
In the “The Flash” Season 5 Episode 6 synopsis details posted over at All About TV, it would seem that the gang will finally get some concrete details with regards to Caitlin’s mysterious past. Could this be the piece of information they need in order to get Killer Frost back?
“Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), Barry (Grant Gustin) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) learn something new about Caitlin’s father (guest star Kyle Secor). Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) and Sherloque (Tom Cavanagh) follow a clue about Cicada (Chris Klein),” the synopsis reads.
Fans of the show might be wondering where exactly this thread in “The Flash” Season 5 Episode 6 is leading the story. In previous seasons, it was hinted that Caitlin’s powers were due to the particle accelerator explosion that created all of the meta-humans that Team Flash has been fighting. However, this season has put a new perspective on that point.
If Caitlin actually got her ice powers while she was young, it opens up a whole can of worms that could lead to an entirely new story thread altogether. Questions like how did it happen and who was her father are just some of the mysteries surrounding the show right now. Fans can only hope that “The Flash” Season 5 Episode 6 might finally provide some clarity with regards to this issue.
As CarterMatt notes, the actor playing Caitlyn’s father this time will be Kyle Secor. When Nov. 20 comes around, fans might be treated to some clarifications that they have been searching for.
