JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 18, 2017 -- The Folded Flag Foundation, a national non-profit organization that provides educational scholarships and grants to surviving family members of military and government employees who have lost their lives as a result of hostile action or in an accident related to U.S. combat operations, has appointed Tim Mullin as the organization’s Director of Strategic Partnerships.

In this role, Tim will oversee fundraising and strategic partnership efforts, including development and implementation of programs for corporate partners; donor recognition and stewardship; development and execution of proposals for support; research, tracking and analysis; and additional responsibilities.

Mullin is an experienced non-profit professional. Before joining The Folded Flag Foundation, he served as Director for the USO in Las Vegas and Executive Director for the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth. For more than 10 years, Tim has served in the non-profit sector developing collaborative and impactful community partnerships, creating and managing organizational strategic plans, overseeing program budgets, and cultivating diverse and multicultural donor pools. During his career, he has been a successful fundraiser for various charitable causes and organizations and is active in the Las Vegas community.
With support from Black Knight and ServiceLink, which underwrite all administrative costs for the organization, The Folded Flag Foundation is able to provide 100 percent of its donations directly to families in need. The organization recently announced that it awarded education grants totaling more than $1.1 million to 129 scholarship recipients across the United States.

Mullin is also serving as Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that serves as the primary charitable link between the NHL's newest team and the Las Vegas community. Bill Foley, the majority owner of the Vegas Golden Knights hockey team, is a well-known philanthropist of military-related causes and is the founder of The Folded Flag Foundation.
