‘The Fosters’ season 4’s episode 13, titled “Cruel and Unusual,” is set to feature Jude and Noah as they rekindle their romance. Meanwhile, Callie is set to gain an enemy while in juvenile detention. Callie’s father will also decide to intervene for the sake of his daughter’s freedom.
The synopsis for “Cruel and Unusual” posted on TV Guide reads, “Callie (Maia Mitchell) rejects a proposition from a guard in juvenile hall, making an enemy in the process. Meanwhile, Callie's father is angry at Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum); Brandon (David Lambert) puts Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) in a bad position; Jude (Hayden Byerly) gets another chance with Noah (Kalama Epstein); and Mike (Danny Nucci) makes big decisions.”
The upcoming episode is set to feature the youngest Adams Foster child’s romance with his friend Noah. In the promo, the two are seen sharing a kiss in school.
Jude has been struggling with his sexual orientation for the longest time and also had some difficulties with his personal life as well as relationships throughout the series. He had to suffer through losing his mother to a drunk driving incident as well as losing his father to prison.
He first had his same-sex relationship with Connor (Gavin MacIntosh). Although they managed to get together despite Connor’s homophobic father and Jude’s refusal to believe that that he was gay, the two eventually split up in season 3 because of the strains of a long-distance relationship following Connor’s move to Los Angeles.
Jude then began dating his friend Noah following the split. The two spent their time smoking marijuana frequently until they were caught. Stef and Lena then forbid Jude from ever seeing Noah again.
Meanwhile, Callie’s time in juvenile detention will get more complicated when she gains an enemy. According to Yahoo! News, Callie was sent to the facility because of her involvement in a car accident. Angered by Stef and Lena’s secrets, Callie’s father will decide to intervene in her case.
‘The Fosters’ season 4’s episode 13, titled “Cruel and Unusual,” is scheduled to air on February 14, 2017 on Freeform. It was directed by Norman Buckley and written by Anne Meredith. It will be followed by episode 14, titled "Doors and Windows,” scheduled for February 21.
