Clearwater Community Volunteers
The Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) was established in 1994 by parishioners of the Church of Scientology with the purpose of helping to create a better community for all citizens of Clearwater and Pinellas County. CCV raises money to feed homeless and hungry children in Pinellas County through Public Defender Bob Dillinger’s program, Nourish to Flourish, and The Sheriff’s Youth Ranch. CCV has raised money, food and toys for family and children’s charities such as The Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, Inc., Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida®, The Children’s Home, Inc., the Boys & Girls Club, Everybody’s Tabernacle’s Homeless Emergency Project, and the victims of Katrina. CCV gets its inspiration from the precept “Love and Help Children” one of the 21 precepts found in The Way to Happiness - A Common Sense Guide to Better Living by L. Ron Hubbard.
