ADVISORY, Feb. 08, 2016 --
What:
Legg Mason, a global asset management firm with $671.5 billion in assets under management, will visit the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square, in celebration of its newly launched ETF funds: Legg Mason US, Developed ex-US and Emerging Markets Core ETFs (Nasdaq:UDBI) (Nasdaq:DDBI) (Nasdaq:EDBI) and Legg Mason Low Volatility High Div ETF (Nasdaq:LVHD). Better diversification in equity exposure can help investors navigate volatile markets, such as the ones seen since the beginning of the year.
Legg Mason US, Developed ex-US and Emerging Markets Core ETFs (UDBI, DDBI, EDBI):
These strategies seek to provide a diversified core exposure to their equity markets to better capture the opportunities – and address the concentration risk within – market capitalization weighted indexes. This strategy diversifies across industries in the US, and countries and sectors in the developed international and emerging markets, based on historical correlations instead of market capitalization to mitigate macroeconomic risks.
Legg Mason Low Volatility High Div ETF (LVHD):
This ETF seeks more stable income and capital appreciation by buying stocks of profitable US companies with relatively high yields and lower price and earnings volatility across a wide range of market capitalization. More specifically it focuses on income, risk mitigation and capital appreciation.
In honor of the occasion, Tom Hoops, Executive Vice President of Business Development at Legg Mason, will ring the Opening Bell.
