‘The Librarians’ season 3’s episode 9, titled “And the Fatal Separation,” is set to feature the team as they battle ninjas as the Monkey King’s homeland is in grave danger.
The synopsis for “And the Fatal Separation” posted on TV.com reads, “A ruthless collector of magical artifacts seizes the Monkey King's sacred homeland, jeopardizing the very balance of the universe and triggering a Librarian mission to save the imperiled land.”
The promo for the incoming episode showed the librarians coming face-to-face with a group of black ninjas as they attempt to save the Monkey King’s threatened homeland, Shangri-La. It seems that their mission is of great importance since the fate of the universe rests in their hands. The ninjas may only be the beginning.
According CDA News, the librarians’ mission to save the guardian and bring balance back to the universe may require a hefty price. It was reported that Flynn (Noah Wyle) will have to sacrifice himself as part of the battle between good and evil forces as well as the threat of the Department of Statistical Anomalies (DOSA).
In the preceding episode, titled “"And the Eternal Question," the group found themselves in a wellness spa run by vampires disguised as Spanish immigrants while investigating cases of spontaneous combustion. Cassandra (Lindy Booth), who learned that her tumor has developed to a terminal stage, was granted the gift of immortality by the vampire Estrella.
By the end of the episode, Cassandra collapsed and was taken to a hospital for surgery. Contrary to her belief that surgery would take away her mathematical abilities, the procedure left these intact and gave her the powers of communicating mentally.
‘The Librarians’ season 3’s episode 9, titled “And the Fatal Separation,” is scheduled to air on TNT on January 15, 2017. It was directed by Jonathan Frakes and written by Rob Wright, Steve Kriozere, and Mark A. Altman. It will be followed by the season finale, titled "And the Wrath of Chaos," scheduled for January 22.
