‘The Mick’ season 1’s episode 15, titled “The Sleepover," is set to feature Mickey’s obviously poor parenting skills as the kids get a sleepover at home. She will also work with Alba to try and help Ben face his fear of monsters.
The synopsis for episode 15 posted Spoilers Daily reads, “Mickey’s (Kaitlin Olson) poor parenting skills are only made worse when a popular kid in Chip’s (Thomas Barbusca) class comes to the house for a sleepover. Meanwhile, Mickey and Alba (Carla Jimenez) try to tame Ben’s (Jack Stanton) fear of monsters.”
It seems that the upcoming episode will yet again put focus on Mickey’s questionable parenting skills. Chip is set to have a sleepover with his classmates, which Mickey will be forced to deal with properly. However, she begins to mess up with one of the most popular students in Chip’s class joins in the sleepover.
Chip and his classmate won’t be the only challenge Mickey will have to face in the upcoming episode. It seems that she and Alba will have to figure out a way to help Ben rise above his fear of monsters and imaginary childhood creatures.
In the previous episode, titled “The Heater,” Mickey’s old gambling addiction began to return after she noticed that Ben used casino chips to resemble planets in a solar system diorama for a school project.
Ben then revealed that his dad contained more casino chips, which fueled Mickey’s weakness. Despite Alba’s efforts to rescue Mickey from her downward spiral, she too got caught up in the gambling rush.
According to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Scott Marder talked about filming in an actual casino for the episode. He expressed his excitement over the episode in a guest blog post he wrote on the website. Marder revealed that filming in a real working casino, which was packed to the brim with people even on a random Tuesday, added to the character of the entire setting.
‘The Mick’ season 1’s episode 15, titled “The Sleepover," is scheduled to air on Fox on April 11, 2017. It will be followed by episode 16, titled “The Implant,” scheduled to be released on April 25.
