The New Balance 1000 “Moonrock” and “Real Pink” colorways will officially release on September 11th. After collaborations with Joe Freshgoods and Aimé Leon Dore, these general-release models bring a fresh look to the lineup, showcasing bold and neutral tones with innovative design elements.
New Balance 1000 Shifts Focus to General Releases with ‘Grey/Cream’ Colorway
With collaborations from Joe Freshgoods and Aimé Leon Dore already completed, the New Balance 1000 has shifted its focus to general release colorways over the past few months. According to Sneaker News, recent versions have ranged from vibrant retro-inspired color combinations to more subdued, tonal designs. In line with other models like the New Balance 1906R, the Boston-based brand continues experimenting with innovative material and color-blocking combinations.
Official retailer images of a “Grey/Cream” pair were recently unveiled alongside a “Green/Grey” pair from the same collection. Both styles feature suede mudguards and painted midsoles, with the upper portion of the shoe showcasing cream-colored leather that matches the lining and tongue. The shoe's base utilizes a grey diamond-patterned ripstop, complementing the surrounding materials. Sizing is often a topic of discussion with new or reissued New Balance models, and for those interested in purchasing their first pair of 1000s, most consumers recommend sticking to true-to-size (TTS) options.
The New Balance 1000 “Grey/Cream” ($150) will be released on September 11, 2024. Purchasing links are available in the “Where To Buy” section.
New Balance 1000 ‘Pink/Tan’ Set to Launch September 19, Following Highly Anticipated Leaks
After an initial collaboration with renowned NB partners Joe Freshgoods and Aimé Leon Dore, the New Balance 1000 officially debuted. Since these collaborations, general-release versions of the Y2K-era model have been gradually introduced, with many not yet available to the public. That will change with the upcoming release of the New Balance 1000 in “Pink/Tan,” which was highly anticipated after being leaked and mistakenly reported as an Aimé Leon Dore collaboration. The release is set for September 19.
This “Pink/Tan” edition features a layered design with cream, green, and pink tones, following a popular color-blocking style seen in previous releases, such as the “Green/Grey” and “Gray/Cream” pairs. However, the bold contrast between the three primary colors makes this version stand out individually and within the typically neutral New Balance lineup. Brown accents on the midsole, outsole, and around the midfoot "N" logo complete the color palette, while the shoe’s material composition includes the usual combination of leather, mesh, and suede.
The New Balance 1000 “Pink/Tan” will be available on NewBalance.com and at select retailers on September 19 for $150. More updates and direct shopping links will be provided closer to the release date.
