When it comes to manga and anime, the phrase “demon world” is often more familiar to enthusiasts as a fantasy trope where monsters exist in an almost detached manner. This will not be the case in “The Promised Neverland” Season 2 where Emma, Ray, and the rest of the children will learn an awful truth. There are no humans left in the world that they left the orphanage for. They are now in a true demon world.
As ScreenRant noted a while ago, “The Promised Neverland” Season 2 has been officially confirmed and it is going to expand the horrors that the viewers know to new heights. Basically, this is where fans will learn just how hopeless the situation is for the young orphans after escaping the farm. It would simply appear that they exchanged the frying pan for the fire.
Not only will everything in the world be trying to kill them in “The Promised Neverland” Season 2, including wild demons and plants, there will also be hunters on their tail. On top of that, it will be revealed that there is no human left on their side of the world. Emma and Ray thought that something had happened only a few decades before that allowed the demons to reign. This is not the case.
The demons have actually been the masters of their side of the world for centuries after making a pact with the humans. Now, the world is divided and the children are squarely in the middle of hostile territory. Suffice it to say, “The Promised Neverland” Season 2 will crank up the feeling of helplessness to eleven.
On top of this burdensome knowledge, though, viewers will still be treated to suspenseful scenes, heartrending thrills, and twists surprising enough to blow one’s mind. With “The Promised Neverland” Season 2 airing in 2020, fans have a lot to look forward to.
