‘The Royals’ season 3’s episode 2, entitled “Passing Through Nature to Eternity”, will feature Helena as she schemes to secure proof of Liam and Eleanor’s legitimacy.

The brief synopsis for episode 2 posted on TV Muse reads, “Helena (Elizabeth Hurley) plans to secure proof; Liam (William Moseley) begins a new but complicated relationship; Jasper (Tom Austen) and Eleanor (Alexandra Park) look to the past to inspire their future.”

In the incoming episode, Queen Helena is set to devise a plan to procure proof of her twins Prince Liam and Princess Eleanor's paternity with the help of her new Lord Chamberlain.

In the preceding episode, entitled "Together With Remembrance of Ourselves," King Cyrus (Jake Maskal) went public about his cancer diagnosis and presented Helena with an opportunity. An exclusive look of episode 2 posted on TV Line featured Helena’s new scheme to prove Liam and Eleanor’s legitimacy.

The video opened to Helena being told that her office is doing an assessment of the public’s reaction to Cyrus’ announcement. Helena comments, “At this rate, he’s gonna kill the monarchy before cancer kills him.”

The queen then proposes, “We need to get into that lair of his and find some DNA. Hair, or toenails, or a used condom. Something!” When her secretary Rachel (Victoria Ekanoye) tells her that Cyrus has his own guards holding post as well as the presence of a body double, the new Lord Chamberlain Spencer Hoenigsberg interrupts.

“Do you trust James Hill, your majesty? Is he team Helena?” Spencer asks. Helena contemplates the question before answering yes. Spencer continues, “Then as far as I’m concerned, his majesty just told us everything we need to secure your proof.”

According to a recap of the season premiere on Entertainment Weekly, a cancer-stricken King Cyrus has retreated to his quarters posing some problems for Helena to procure proof of Liam’s legitimacy and right to the throne. In his attempts to preserve his place as King, Cyrus has also taken King Simon’s (Vincent Regan) dead body from his tomb, leaving only a note for Helena to find.

‘The Royals’ season 3’s episode 2, entitled "Passing Through Nature to Eternity," is scheduled to air on E! on December 11, 2016. It was directed by James Lafferty and written by Mark Schwahn. It will be followed by episode 3, entitled "Aye, There's the Rub," scheduled for December 18.
