‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods’ episode 17: Diane thinks of a way to restore Meliodas while Archangel Ludociel makes his move

“The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods” episode 17 will finally arrive in a day. But for fans who just can’t wait, here are a few spoilers to whet their appetite.

The way to restore Meliodas

There were two biggest surprises dropped by the previous episode. One was the dissolution of the Seven Deadly Sins by Meliodas and the other is his announcement that he wants to become the King of Demons.

The surprising thing is that when he made the two announcements he was fully remember everything that happened. In fact, he remembers every member of the team by name so it’s safe to conclude that his memory is intact. Merlin would explain in “The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods” episode 17 that Meliodas is still suffering from the effect of the Demon King stealing his emotions.

But a possible way to restore back to his former self will also be introduced in “The Seven Deadly Sins” season 3 episode 17. It was when Hawk remembers Meliodas talking to him as the Demon King that Merlin’s interest was piqued.

Upon investigating, Merlin discovers that Hawk is some sort of gateway between Purgatory and the regular world. Upon hearing it, Diane will think of an idea to save Meliodas.

“We can travel to Purgatory through Hawk and take back the captain’s emotions from the Demon King,” Diane suggests.

Ban embarks on a new adventure

However, Merlin says in “The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods” episode 17 that the idea is impossible. Purgatory is basically toxic to humans that her father, who was then the Elder Sage of the Capital set foot on Purgatory only for a minute but came out of it invalid for the rest of his life.

But Ban volunteers and argues that he won’t be affected physically since he is an immortal. He won’t be dissuaded from his decision so Merlin assented to it and sent Ban to Purgatory, starting his new adventure in that place.

Ludociel possesses a new body

Meanwhile, the leader of the Four Archangels of the Goddess clan will likely be featured in “The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods” episode 17. He will be able to possess the body of Margaret Liones who has a very strong affinity to his magic.

It is yet unclear how this move might change the balance of power in the land. While the Demon Clan gained a new powerful demon in Meliodas, one of their strongest opponents has made his way into the world as well.
