Today's UK GDP statistics show the economy maintained its weak development in the final part of 2025. Following a changed 0.2% growth change in the prior month, monthly GDP climbed a little 0.1% in December relative to November. A 0.3% increase in services output mostly fueled this growth, therefore balancing drops in construction (-0.5%) and production (-0.9%). Given continuing economic constraints, the numbers show a subdued finish for the year.
Compared to the preceding quarter, GDP for October to December 2025 increased by 0.1% on a three-month basis, matching the pace of the previous period. With a solid +1.2% contribution, manufacturing showed the path; construction decreased dramatically (-2.1%), whereas services stayed at zero. Year-over–year the three-month period revealed 1.0% growth, therefore emphasizing continuous yet small momentum.
At 1.3%, annual GDP in 2025 grew, a gain from 1.1% in 2024 mostly due to services expansion of 1.4%. The data point to a slow-lane recovery for the UK economy overall, with varied sector performances and downward revisions stressing upcoming difficulties. 1.5 s Fast
