Andrew Lincoln's (Rick Grimes) last episode in “The Walking Dead” season 9 has come and gone, but Grimes's exit from the show may not have been the biggest thing to get revealed in the anticipated episode. “The Walking Dead” season 9 showrunner Angela Kang had been teasing the fact that the show's renewed perspective on using time jumps would play an important factor in Grimes's exit for weeks. The last part of the fifth episode featured one of the biggest time jumps in the series being teased by Angela Kang. For fans unafraid of spoilers but have yet to see “The Walking Dead” season 9 episode 5, fans can expect an almost seven-year time jump that reveals Judith Grimes (Cailey Fleming) being a badass in her own right while wearing Carl Grimes's (Chandler Riggs) cowboy hat.
Fans looking forward to seeing how “The Walking Dead” season 9 will march on with Judith Grimes replacing Andrew Lincoln's Rick in the foreseeable future can catch the show's upcoming episode when it airs during its weekly Sunday broadcast schedule on Nov. 11. Hopefully, the upcoming episode breathes new life into AMC's long-running zombie series despite the departure of one of its most beloved characters.
