Approximately 2,000 community members attended the all-day event, which featured more than 60 booths offering activities, including crime scene investigation, cryptography, a Lego “Great Ball Contraption,” electricity and magnetism, infrared waves, the physics of flight, reptile genetics and robotics. Featured speakers included the Field Museum's “Chief Curiosity Correspondent” Emily Graslie, COD faculty members Joe DalSanto and Dale F. Simpson Jr., and Fermilab’s “Mr. Freeze” Jerry Zimmerman.
