Three investors bought 1,877,978 shares of EAAA India Alternatives Limited on Nov. 2, its first trading day, in bulk deals worth about ₹3.16 billion, according to National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) disclosures. The company trades on NSE under the symbol EDELALTS.
HDFC Mutual Fund bought 806,167 shares at a weighted average of ₹1,679.75 each. Carnelian Asset Management & Advisors Private Limited bought 700,000 at ₹1,691.80, while Larsen & Toubro Limited acquired 371,811 at ₹1,682.32. The disclosed quantities and prices imply about ₹135.42 crore for HDFC, ₹118.43 crore for Carnelian and ₹62.55 crore for Larsen & Toubro, or ₹316.39 crore combined.
All three weighted averages exceeded the ₹1,665 issue price: HDFC’s by ₹14.75 per share, Carnelian’s by ₹26.80 and Larsen & Toubro’s by ₹17.32. NSE defines a bulk deal as transactions in a company’s shares totaling more than 0.5% of its listed equity on an exchange in a day.
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) listing notice confirms trading began Nov. 2 at an issue price of ₹1,665. HDFC Sky reported opening prices of ₹1,675.50 on NSE and ₹1,673 on BSE. Moneycontrol and The Economic Times reported an NSE close of ₹1,727.80, about 3.8% above the issue price. NSE’s IPO tracker showed ₹1,728 as the last traded price, a 3.78% gain, but left its listing-day-close field blank.
The prospectus lists real assets and private credit as EAAA’s business areas. It says promoter Edelweiss Securities and Investments Private Limited sold existing shares in the IPO; EAAA issued no new shares, and proceeds after offer expenses went to the seller. EconoTimes’ earlier coverage of the promoter’s IPO sale detailed the offering terms.
The exchange records identify each buyer and the number of shares purchased but provide no seller names or explanation from either side for the trades. The NSE archive also says its bulk-deal data may be amended.
