There are fewer things in life that matter as much as capturing the moments of our lives that carry a special meaning for us. While in the olden days, it was considered a gilded luxury that only a select few and wealthy could afford, today it has become a necessity that’s reached almost everyone courtesy of smartphones. So many times we’ve seen that people have been involved in capturing an important moment in their lives i.e. a graduation, convocation, a marriage proposal accepted, a dream job, or simply a dream holiday that they wanted to take. All of these things are memories that define what life is supposed to be like. Keeping that in mind, it is important that while photography has become easier to do, there are still ways to make it better?
There are various options that you can use like retouch, edit and sharpen that can end up making your face and pictures even better. These options are available for everyone to use and they will undoubtedly end up making your photos looking even better than they were originally. One of the principle reasons why people edit their photos is because they feel that it enhances their overall quality.
So, how do you properly edit your photos? While there are multiple apps for picture editing, there are simple techniques that you can use to maximize their quality.
Flatten it out
When it comes to editing photos, there are some basic rules and foundations that can help you get the best out of whatever you’re trying to achieve. One of these basics is flattening out the image in raw. What you’ll need to do is retouch the photo and adjust the color temperature or exposure of it and bring its highlights slider to somewhere between -30 to -80.
While it may not seem much to you, it will drastically impact the ultimate quality of your pictures. Another reason to flatten it out is that once you’ve done that, it’ll be easy to change the contrast of the picture. It also makes it easier to judge whether the picture you’re editing has too much contrast or not.
