Tom’s contributions to the Flottman Company are unparalleled and some of which include:
- Supporting the building of a new production facility, quadrupling manufacturing capacity
- Instrumental in developing sales partnerships accumulating to millions of dollars in company sales annually
- Assisted in the establishment of the Rxperts Group partnership for one stop pharmaceutical packaging needs

Tom Flottman shared “… that it has been an incredible opportunity to continue the legacy of what my father and grandfather built, but now it’s time to completely pass the baton onto my siblings. Sue and Peter have accompanied me on this journey as well as inspired and impressed. Having the Flottman name on the building has always empowered me to strive for more and I know my brother and sister will continue that tradition. Now is the perfect time to start the next chapter in my life, knowing that I am leaving this great company in good hands.”
Tom’s passion is working with ProKids, where he serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children removed from their families because of neglect, abuse or drug dependency issues. Now, Tom will be able to give more of his time towards helping these young children in their time of need. In addition, Tom looks to devote more time to the boards he currently serves including the Goering Center and the Clovernook Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Tom also plans to dedicate more time to his wife of 36 years and their three children.
The stability and performance of the company will not be affected by this leadership evolution. Tom’s clientele and public relations obligations for the past few years have and will continue to fold into Sue Steller (President) and Peter Flottman’s (CFO) responsibilities. Tom’s retirement was strategically planned as a team, working closely with his sibling co-owners to determine the best manner for the continued success of the company. This designed succession occurs within a planned protocol established through the assistance of the Goering Center for Family & Private Business. The implementation of this progression has been in the works for more than five years. During a 90-day transition period Tom’s remaining leadership role at Flottman Company will be assumed via the continued performances of Sue and Peter, with a strong reliance on the entire management team.
Congratulations to Tom Flottman and all the best in his retirement – from all of us associated with Flottman Company, Thank you and go enjoy!
