Apple Inc., world's strongest and well-known brand, is hosting its annual splash at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium at 10 a.m. on Sept. 9, to unveil a new version of its iPhone.
A latest article by Bloomberg notes the key things to watch:
iPhone Upgrades
The latest version of the iPhone will have a body design similar to the predecessors, along with a faster processor and upgraded camera.
Addressing the bending issues, the latest version has been designed using improved alloy known as 7000 series aluminum, which is 60 percent stronger than standard alloys, reports 9to5Mac.
The device will perhaps include a Force Touch feature, to determine the difference between a tap, a standard press, and a deep press, adding a third level of sensitivity over the Apple Watch screen and MacBook trackpad.
In addition to the present line-up of white, gray and gold iPhone, a new rose-gold color option may also be included.
Bigger iPad
A larger-screen iPad is also expected to debut at the event. Earlier this year, the company hinted at the bigger model when it previewed a new iOS feature that allows users to display two applications on an iPad's screen simultaneously. A new iPad mini is also expected to be unveiled, 9to5Mac reported.
Blocking Online Ads
With the new iOS 9 operating system for the iPhone and iPad, people will be able to download software that blocks online ads from being shown on websites. AdBlock Plus, one of the most popular ad-blocking services, says it will have software available for the iPhone and iPad soon after Apple releases iOS 9.
Apple TV
The Apple TV upgrade in 2010 brought a smaller, black puck-like design and that look has been retained with both the 2012 and 2013 refreshes to the device, reports 9to5Mac. The same aesthetic is expected to continue with the new Apple TV but will be noticeably thicker, most likely in order to accommodate additional 802.11ac wireless components. The Apple TV upgrade will include a revamped remote control with several new features.
