Trent Limited reported higher results for the quarter ended Sept. 30 as three other Indian companies scheduled earnings reviews, while separate disclosures covered a leadership handover and Wipro's completed stake purchase.

Trent's revenue from operations on a standalone basis rose 23% year over year to ₹5,788 crore. Operating earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased 37% to ₹791 crore, while profit after tax climbed 9% to ₹490 crore. On a consolidated basis, revenue gained 22% to ₹5,873 crore, EBITDA rose 37% to ₹785 crore and profit after tax increased 25% to ₹468 crore. The growth rates compare with the year-ago quarter.

Trent said its other income in the year-earlier quarter included ₹96 crore in pre-tax profit from asset sales. The corresponding pre-tax profit from asset sales this quarter was “not material,” the company said. Trent Chairman Noel N. Tata said its brands had “experienced solid traction during the quarter.” He added that consumer sentiment had strengthened even as conditions remained relatively inflationary.

Wipro Limited said its step-down subsidiary, Wipro IT Services, LLC, completed the purchase of a 20% shareholding in FLARRE.AI Inc. on Oct. 28. Wipro received notice of completion on Oct. 29; an earlier filing listed Oct. 31 as the expected completion date.

Tata, Trent's chairman and a director, will retire at the close of business Nov. 11. Bahram Vakil will become chairman Nov. 12, when Tata is due to become chairman emeritus. Trent said the transition follows Tata Group Governance Guidelines covering board composition, committees and director retirement. The company’s filing says Tata has been associated with Trent since 1997.

Dixon Technologies (India) Limited, Syrma SGS Technology Limited and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited scheduled board meetings for Friday, Oct. 30, to review unaudited financial results covering standalone and consolidated operations for the three- and six-month periods through Sept. 30, 2026. Their notices set the agenda but did not announce results figures.
